Humanity has always needed tools that can bring ease and comfort. In the Stone Age, they sharpened stones to form hunter-gathering tools. When human beings became civilized and knowledge spread like a wildfire, they needed something that can preserve information. Printing press was, therefore, invented. In the 20th century, in order to avoid wars, more lethal weapons as deterrents were invented. Internet, also a product of modern epoch, was meant to enhance connectivity and to give access to readily available knowledge. Albeit there have emerged deleterious impacts of internet. Despite having all tools of comfort, humanity did not stop and wanted something that can do what human beings are doing and that can think and imitate human mind. Thus, artificial intelligence was invented. Without an iota of doubt, it can be argued that AI or machine learning will be the last invention that humanity will ever need to make. Primarily, it has all the knowledge that is available on internet, thereby transforming the educational landscape. AI is also assisting in medical diagnostics. It is being employed in drone warfare. Businesses are relying on AI models to forecast market trends. In order to quickly resolve cases, it is being used in justice systems. AI robots are performing checks on airports and borders. While machine learning has brought with itself multifarious promises, it has also its own perils such as reinforcing societal biases and stereotypes and replacing jobs. However, these dangers are not impossible to mitigate, as AI is the product of human mind that can alter its inherent flaws. Thus, machine learning due to its vast benefits will be the last invention of humanity.
